Canada Immigration Points
Immigrating to Canada requires one to fulfill certain criteria and one of them being fulfilling certain points that would qualify a person under the Canada immigration point system. One needs a total of 67 points to qualify under this points system. This is especially recommended for a skilled worker for whom it is a good option If you are a skilled worker, this may be a very good option for you for immigrating to Canada. All individuals who have applied for immigration are assessed according to the selection system based on point awarded.
These points are calculated based on certain criteria such as

. Education
. Language ability in English or French
. Work experience
. Validated arranged employment/designated occupation
. Adaptability : spouse education, work and education in Canada, arranged employment, family member in Canada
There are many websites that provide online assistance in calculating these points through a question and answer format. Education is allotted 25 points, language is given 24 points, experience 21 points, age is allotted 10 points, arranged employment another 10, adaptability ten points which makes it a total of hundred points. Out of these hundred points, an applicant must satisfy a total of atleast 67 points so as to qualify for the immigration.
Individuals can take this test online as this will help one to decide if they want to apply to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. If one is married or in a common-law relationship, both should take the test to see who scores the most points. The person who scores more points should apply as the principal applicant.
One will have to pay a landing fee of $ 975 CAD (over 22 years of age). If an applicant who has paid the fee is not landed in Canada, the fee is refunded. The Right of Landing Fee should not be confused with Canada Immigration fee (processing fee) which is $550 CAD.
