Canadian Visa
One can apply for Canadian Business Visa, Student Visa, Tourist Visa and Transit Visa. However, few requirements are common in all the Visa application forms. The applicant needs to download the visa application form and read it carefully because any mistake in filling the form accurately and one might not obtain the visa at the right time. The applicant also needs to remember that application fee is non-refundable.
There are few basic documents required for obtaining Canadian visa. One must have a valid travel document like passport. Along with that three recent passport photos are must. Photos must meet the requirements mentioned in the application forms. Other required documents are, identity proofs, proof of employment and a proposed itinerary.
One must enclose the required fee along with the application forms however; fees are non-refundable even in case of application getting rejected. The applicant needs to prove that he or she has enough money for the visit to Canada. This will require disclosing the staying place, duration of stay etc.
Other documents required are; temporary resident visa application form, representative form (IMM 5257) which needs to be duly filled in and signed, personal information form, letter of invitation, covering letter from the applicant, proof of immigration status of invitor etc. The fees also tend to differ depending upon the kind of visa required. Normally it hovers in the range of $75 for a single entry visa to $150 for a multiple entry visa. Once these steps are taken, the applicant has to send these documents to Canadian embassy in the country.
Normally the processing time is quite comfortable with 2-4 working days; however it also depends upon where the application has been submitted. One may also need to visit the visa officer for interview purpose. Before getting entry into Canada, one might need to go through complete medical examination. If medical examination takes place then it will add further three months to the total processing time.
